1. About this Cookies Policy
This Cookies Policy explains how Raised Over Pty Ltd ABN 62 645 116 882, trading as Raised Over (“Raised Over”, “we”, “us” or “our”), uses cookies and similar technologies on raisedover.com.
This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your browser or device when you visit a website.
Cookies can help a website:
- recognise a browser or device;
- remember preferences;
- keep a User signed in;
- maintain security;
- operate checkout and Account functions;
- understand website usage; and
- improve performance.
Cookies may be set by Raised Over or by a technology provider used to operate or analyse our website.
3. The cookies Raised Over uses
Raised Over currently uses:
- cookies that are technically necessary to operate the website, Accounts, security and checkout functions; and
- Google Analytics cookies used to understand website traffic and performance.
We do not currently use:
- Meta Pixel;
- Facebook advertising cookies;
- Google Ads conversion or remarketing cookies;
- behavioural advertising cookies; or
- other advertising pixels.
4. Strictly necessary cookies
Strictly necessary cookies support functions required for the website or Account platform to operate.
Depending on which part of the website you use, these cookies may:
- maintain website security;
- authenticate Users;
- keep a User signed in;
- maintain an Account session;
- process forms;
- remember cookie preferences;
- support checkout and payment processing;
- prevent fraud; or
- distribute website traffic.
These cookies do not exist primarily to advertise to you or analyse your behaviour.
Because they are required to provide requested website functions, strictly necessary cookies cannot generally be switched off through our cookie controls.
You may be able to block them through your browser, but doing so may prevent parts of the website from working.
5. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use raisedover.com.
Google Analytics helps us understand matters such as:
- how visitors find the website;
- which pages are viewed;
- how long visitors spend on pages;
- which devices and browsers are used;
- approximate geographic location;
- how visitors move through the website;
- whether website errors occur; and
- general website performance.
We use this information to improve the website, Content and user experience.
We do not use Google Analytics to collect your name, email address or payment details.
We do not currently use Google Analytics advertising features or link Google Analytics to advertising or remarketing activities.
6. Google Analytics cookies
Google Analytics 4 commonly uses the following first-party cookies:
| Cookie | Purpose | Default duration |
|---|---|---|
_ga |
Distinguishes one browser or device from another using a randomly generated identifier | Up to 2 years |
_ga_<container-id> |
Maintains information about a website session | Up to 2 years |
The exact name of the second cookie includes an identifier associated with our Google Analytics property.
The actual duration may be shorter because of:
- browser restrictions;
- your browser settings;
- deletion of cookies;
- our Google Analytics configuration; or
- your cookie preferences.
Google Analytics may also receive ordinary technical information communicated by a browser, including browser type, device details, page address and approximate location.
Google states that it does not log or store individual IP addresses through Google Analytics 4.
7. No advertising cookies
Raised Over does not currently use cookies to:
- build advertising profiles;
- show personalised advertisements;
- retarget website visitors;
- share audiences with Meta or Facebook;
- measure Facebook or Instagram advertising; or
- track Users across unrelated websites for advertising purposes.
If we introduce advertising cookies in the future, we will update this policy and our cookie controls before using them where required.
8. Cookie choices
Where our website provides cookie controls, you may use them to:
- accept analytics cookies;
- reject analytics cookies; or
- change a previous selection.
Strictly necessary cookies may continue to operate because they are required to provide the website, security, Account or checkout functions requested by you.
Where consent is required by applicable law, Google Analytics cookies will not be activated until the appropriate consent has been obtained.
9. Browser controls
Most browsers allow you to:
- view stored cookies;
- delete cookies;
- block all or selected cookies;
- block third-party cookies; or
- receive a warning before a cookie is stored.
Instructions differ between browsers and devices. Consult your browser’s privacy or help settings.
Blocking or deleting cookies may cause:
- login functions to fail;
- preferences to be lost;
- checkout functions not to work;
- course progress to display incorrectly; or
- other parts of the website to operate incorrectly.
10. Google Analytics opt-out
You may prevent Google Analytics cookies through:
- the cookie settings available on our website;
- your browser settings; or
- a browser extension or analytics opt-out tool that blocks Google Analytics.
Blocking Google Analytics will not prevent you from accessing the ordinary public areas of the Raised Over website.
Strictly necessary Account, security or checkout cookies may still be required.
11. Third-party processing
Google Analytics is provided by Google.
Information collected through Google Analytics may be processed by Google using systems located outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries in which Google operates.
Google handles that information in accordance with its own privacy and data-processing terms.
12. Email tracking
Our email provider may provide basic reporting showing whether an email was delivered, opened or whether a link was selected.
We may use this information to understand communication performance and improve our messages.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link provided or by emailing hello@raisedover.com.
Account, billing, security and subscription-renewal emails are service communications and may still be sent where necessary.
13. Changes to this Cookies Policy
